Analyse 3 title sequences-Blog Post 13

The films that i am presenting are all Thriller.

BATMAN 1989
The macro elements of this title sequence is the eeriness of the whole scene. We do not see any characters throughout the whole title sequence. Instead all we see is the surrounding area. We can not tell much about the plot because we have not seen any characters or any items that can tell us anything about the plot.

The micro elements of the film is that the camera keeps panning while it going around the town so it makes us feel that we are going around the town also. There has been no edits in this because the camera is always moving. The sound gives us a dark and ominous feeling. The mise-en-scene in this title sequence is the whole town.

A Series of Unfortunate Events

The Macro Elements in this title sequence show three kids running away from a person. I say a person because we can see and image of a man every time the kids are running. The themes seem to be thriller and mystery. From the title sequence we can see that the plot is three kids trying to run away from a person that is chasing them. The characters that we can see is one boy, one girl, one baby and an old man from all the silhouettes. I think the target audience for this film would be kids and teens since it its produced by Nickelodeon.

The micro elements of this title sequence is all entirely animated. The credits are shown when something animated is happening. While the title sequence is being played we can hear the music throughout the sequence. The scene is shown to be in multiple places.
