Analyse 2 Film Sequences blog 6

Se7en

The titles in se7en follow a strict conventional order of titles in thriller films. It is made obvious that it is  a thriller film by the use of several things such as the way the titles come on and off of screen. Throughout the sequence you see no ones face but see one person writing into a book. This is an indicator that they are a  main character. The themes of violence begin to come through the sequence as it goes along.

The opening sequence of collateral has no titles. However it is fairly obvious of the genre and also who is the good guy and who is the bad guy. Throughout the sequence the bad guy is shown in slow motion. This makes it obvious that he is bad. The good guy is shown in normal pace and shows he is good.
