Prelim Evaluation - Blog 2

Prelim evaluation

I think I was particularly  good at choosing and filming different types of shots. I was also able to edit in and out of different shots. Therefore I believe that I have improved my editing skills. The match cuts worked well as they all flowed in together and made it seem as though we did it in one shot, I think the bit of our film that worked best was the walking through the door scene, it worked well because of the editing. In addition I was able to edit out parts of the film we did not want and we used the 180 degree rule perfectly. However I do believe that there are some areas for improvement. If I was able to complete the film again I would make sure we checked each shot so that there are no errors and also plan as much as we can. During my time of the prelim I have learnt that planning is crucial as it helps paint a picture of what you want to actually happen and therefore you have something to work towards and so that time isn't wasted thinking of what to do.
