We chose to do a Thriller title sequence because we all have an interest in this genre, some of our favourite films are from this genre, The Equalizer and Jurassic World. The Equalizer influences us because of the suspense and the story. Jurassic World influences us because of the build up and high paced action.
Film Title Sequences that have inspired us.
Collateral - This title sequence has influenced us because of the simplicity but obviousness of the good and bad character, we especially liked the slow-mo part of the title sequence to show who is the bad character, while the good character was walking at normal pace.
Se7en - This title sequence influenced us because even though you couldn't see the character that was writing, you already knew he was the bad guy. In the sequence we see the man picking up a book with his fingertips covered with plasters.
This shows that the character is creepy and that something is weird about him.
This is where we got the inspiration to use notebooks in the title sequence.
Catch Me If You Can - This title sequence influences us as it shows the character changing as he is being chased, following clues for the investigator to follow, which is where we got the idea for the investigator to be following clues left by the murderer to find him.
