Film Idea
- Starts off with shots of the area. Then we see a man is walking down the canal, then we see the murderer sitting down on the bench. Then we see the murderer and character(which is the investigator) bump into each other and both drop journals that look similar, and pick up the wrong one. Both characters are at different speeds during the sequence. The murderer walks off, and the investigator sits on a close by bench, looks through the journal, realises he took the wrong one and looks for the murderer, he cant find him then he looks through the journal to find a clue or phone number, he sees a plan to kill someone and where.

Take the unnecessary parts like the removing of jackets and gloves, don't show the investigator going to the body, end the sequence with the investigator on the bench opening the journal to the first page and it cutting there.
